Software packages
The following tables describe "software only" packages, as you do not require KS server-based packages. It is however recommended that you commission KS consulting services to assist in software-only deployments. Notice that all prices have a base price component, and a per user component. Users are defined as internal users while website users are unlimited and governed by the extent of resources upon which the software is licensed and installed. Software may be installed on Unix or Windows operating systems in an Apache server environment.

Step One: Select one SS option as a required for your base deployment framework. SS is used for deploying user portal sites for search, forum discussions, RSS feeds, and file control and sharing. All portals can be deployed or any number of combinations. The #-of-sites option denotes the feature for building unique SS instances (sites), therefore in a ten department company each could deploy their own unique SS visualization portal.

PS-2 through PS-4 allows for as many instances as permitted by the SS option (Number of Sites deployable) while PS-Enterprise permits unlimited search site deployments together with external URL-targeted-search. This option is used to target external search systems: FBI, Interpol, RCMP, Homeland, Libraries and other search site targets. Please inquire.

Single install: 1 crawl server and 1 index server deployment

Multiple install: Up to an equal number of servers installed for the search infrastructure. For example if your search deployment uses 10 in-cluster servers then you are permitted to deploy 5 CS-crawl and 5-index servers to provide sufficient crawling and indexing support for the search infrastructure.

Developer packages: For corporate IT developers or consultants, which must be upgraded to other versions for deployment in day-to-day general staff or public operations.

Consultant packages: Are for independent consultant firms who are contracted by their clients for project work. All consultants receive refunds for their purchase once systems are deployed under client licenses.


Step Four: Select one SPS option, if required, for converting paper documents to searchable text documents.

Up to 10 hours of installation, training, and configuration, is included in all KS packages. However, it is recommended that you upgrade for additional consulting services where needed, such as large deployments.
